| Dialog 3 |
A: Interviewer B: Interviewee |
|
 |
 |
| A: |
Why should we employ you? |
| B: |
Well, I'm dedicated to my work.
For me, job satisfaction is doing my very best every day
and making an important contribution
to the success of the company.
Specifically, I'm organized, hardworking, and energetic.
I've had a lot of experience working as a team member,
both in sports in college and in my more recent positions.
I mesh well in a team situation with the other members
and their responsibilities.
Also, I'm a quick learner.
If there's something I need to know,
I'll do what it takes to make sure I learn it.
Finally, I have all the qualifications and experience
necessary for the job being offered and would love the opportunity
to show you what I can do. |
| A: |
What motivates you most to do your job well? |
| B: |
I'm very self-motivated. I like to leave work
knowing that I've done the best that I can do.
Also, I like to be recognized by my friends
and coworkers as being good at what I do. |
| A: |
What do you see yourself doing in five years? |
| B: |
Well, it's hard to predict the future but I hope and expect
that I will be doing the best I can at a level in the company
that suits my skills and experience.
I want to be proud of being part of a team
that has helped the company succeed. |

| Dialog 4 |
A: Interviewer B: Interviewee |
|
 |
 |
| A: |
What would you do if you were assigned to a supervisor
who you thought was too strict? |
| B: |
I would attempt to better understand the supervisor's expectations
and then try harder to fulfill them. |
| A: |
By providing me with examples,
show me that you are adaptable to a wide range of people,
situations and environments. |
| B: |
Well, for the past three years, every six months to a year,
I have changed positions and each time was introduced
to new people and responsibilities.
I have performed well and my record shows this. |
| A: |
Have you ever done anything
above and beyond the call of duty to get the job done? |
| B: |
Many times.
For example, one time I had finished my work and
my group was about to leave when I found out
that one of the newer employees was having a hard time
finishing a project for a customer.
Although he wasn't in my section, I stayed with him
after work and helped him finish the project. |
